Usually the person that sells the most does the least. Make sure the agent is full-time. Check out in detail the marketing plan and hold them to it! - Make sure the marketing plan isn't just junk that is used by every realtor (i.e. signs, realtor.com, lockbox, etc.) Also the company the realtors works for in my opinion makes NO difference! It's all about the individual agent because they are all independent contractors no matter who they are affiliated with. There's good and bad agents in every company. Also if you're looking for a discount broker I'd call on one of their listing first most discount broker are VERY bad at even answering their phone. Remember live person answering makes a HUGE difference in getting Top dollar or just selling your home!

My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high school reunion, and I
>kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at
>a nearby table.
>
>My wife asks, "Do you know her?"
>
>"Yes," I sighed, "She's my old girlfriend. I understand she took to
>drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she
>hasn't been sober since."
>
>"My Goodness!" says my wife, "Who would think a person could go on
>celebrating that long?"
>
>So you see, there really are 2 ways to look at everything.
